NUPI skal gjennomføre et treårig prosjekt om internasjonal matsikkerhet og ikke-tollmessige handelsbarrierer. Prosjektet er finansiert av NFR, og seniorforsker Arne Melchior ved avdeling for internasjonal økonomi leder prosjektet.

I et pågående forskningsprosjekt undersøker NUPI-forskere hvordan sektordeling påvirker innovasjon i forsvarsindustrien.
Les meirInternasjonalt samarbeid på det økonomiske feltet blir i omfang og intensitet stadig viktigare og dermed ein meir sentral del av utanrikspolitikken. Forskinga i Avdeling for internasjonal økonomi er breidt lagt opp, med eit hovudfokus på internasjonal handel og investeringar, teknologi og økonomisk vekst, fattigdom og korrupsjon.
Økonomisk vekst og teknologisk innovasjon er av aukande betydning i porteføljen til avdelinga. Internasjonal handelspolitikk, ulikskap i inntekt og fattigdom, og betydninga av faste kostnader ved eksport er prioriterte tema.

This paper presents and analyzes most empirical research about crime and police corruption in Kenya that has been based on vicitimization statistics. It shows the wide variation in outcomes and draws implications of this for the potential use of this approach for police and crime policy.
