RUSSCAP har som mål å undersøke drivkrefter i russisk og kaspisk energieksport, energiutvikling i nordområda og den potensielle rolla utanlandske energibedrifter vil kunne få i denne regionen.

I samarbeid med Econ Pöyry og Fridtjof Nansens Institutt

Russisk og kaspisk energi er ei kjelde til både muligheiter og risiko for politisk verksemd og for forretningsfolk verda over, ikkje minst i Norge, som både er Russlands nabo og ein nøkkelspelar i olje- og gassindustrien.

Forskingsprogrammet har som mål å auke forståinga av framtidsutsiktene for tre område som er strategisk viktige for Norge:

1) Russland og det kaspiske området som arena for utanlandske energiselskap,

2) Drivkrefter og vilkår for russisk og kaspisk energieksport og

3) Energiutvikling i nordområda.
